Prayer and Promises

"I promise" !! Have you ever heard these words spoken to you ? The word "promise" can be defined as "the grounds for feeling hopeful about the future and grounds for expectations".

God's promises to us do just that. They are given to us to affirm to our hearts that we do have a Heavenly Father that loves us and has planned a hopeful future for our lives by which we have grounds for great expectations.

These promises of God are "exceeding great and precious", words which clearly indicate their great value and their broad reach , as grounds upon which to base our expectations in praying.

Without prayer, the promises of God can grow dim, voiceless, shadowy, and impersonal. It is prayer that makes the promises weighty, precious and practical.

Pray the promises without ceasing and watch your expectations abound !
