Faith and Fear Incompatible

" In quietness and in confidence shall be your strength"
Isaiah 30:15

It is always weakness to fret and worry, question and mistrust. Can we gain anything fuming and fearing? We often sink when we might float by faith. O for grace to be quiet instead of repeating the weary story which makes us the more heartsick as we tell it, running from this person to that person. God deserves to be confided in; and if we will display confidence and quietness, we will be as happy as the spirits before the throne.

from the writings of C.H. Spurgeon
