According to Jeremiah the Prophet, backsliding can be recognized by a turning back, turning away; defecting, faithlessness, apostasy, disloyalty and reverting.
If Backsliding is a "turning away," Repentance is a "turning around." May God grant us His Mercy to find repentance and be healed of our backslidings and idolatries.
